A trust standard that hides its own bar isn't a standard. Everything AIR Certified is assessed against — and the governance that stops the verdict from being bought — is published here in full.
The criteria an AI tool is assessed against for AIR Certified status. Nine trust dimensions — data handling, IP provenance, security, transparency, integration, portability, claims substantiation, human oversight, and reliability — each with a non-negotiable auto-fail gate. Gates are not averaged, traded off, or offset.
Read it if you're a vendor deciding whether to apply, or a buyer who wants to know exactly what the badge does and does not attest.
The governance document. It establishes that the Council — not Nfinit Monkeys — owns the criteria, the verdict, and revocation, and sets out the neutrality guardrails as non-severable: conditions of the standard's existence, not features that can be removed while keeping the name.
Read it if you want to check whether the independence claim is structural or just marketing. It includes the advisory firewall and the bright line — the point at which the program shuts itself down.
A buyer-side toolkit for requiring AI vendors to meet a credible trust bar. Three reusable instruments: a procurement clause you paste straight into RFPs, MSAs, and vendor onboarding checklists; a vendor questionnaire you send during evaluation or security review; and a scoring guide and red-flag list so a non-specialist reviewer can reach a defensible decision.
Use it if you're writing an RFP, running a vendor security review, or setting an AI floor for procurement. The questionnaire maps one-to-one to the AIR-VS dimensions.
The standard and the charter are public permanently, and will never sit behind a form. The whole claim of AIR Certified is that the bar is published, so the badge can't hide behind it — a standard you have to trade your email for isn't public.
The procurement toolkit is different: it's a work product for buyers, not the standard itself. We ask who you are so we can tell you when the clause is updated — and because if you're setting an AI floor for procurement, that's a conversation worth having.
